Master’s degree in Artistic Education in Social Codesign Applied to Public Sector Projects. Offers academic studies with which you will become a professional in the emerging field of social design and services innovation, using design methodologies applied to real challenges.
Goals:
- To educate professionals in the application of design for the common good.
- To train to identify opportunities for creation that are of value to the community.
- To propose and evaluate intervention strategies that can have a positive impact on the welfare of the community, fostering creativity and co-creation for social innovation in public services.
Why study a master’s degree at ESDAPC?

Qualification
Students who pass these studies will obtain the master’s degree in Artistic Education in Social Design Applied to Public Sector Projects, which is included for all purposes at level 3 of the Spanish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education, equivalent to level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework.
Regulatory framework
Royal Decree 1614/2009, of 26 October, establishing the organization of higher artistic education regulated by Organic Law 2/2006, of 3 May, on education, (and its amendment in Organic Law 8/2013, of 9 December 2014 for the improvement of educational quality), whose Article 13 provides for the procedure for the approval of the curricula of the qualification of master’s degree in higher artistic education, amended in its Sections 3, 5, 7 and 8 in accordance with Royal Decree 21/2015, of 23 January, establishing the organization of higher artistic education.
Organic Law 3/2020, of 29 December, amending Organic Law 2/2006, of 3 May, on Education, and Royal Decree 303/2010, of 15 March, establishing the minimum requirements for centres that provide artistic education, Royal Decree 96/2014, of 14 February, amending Royal Decrees 1027/2011, of 15 July, establishing the Spanish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (MECES), and 1393/2007, of 29 October, establishing the organization of official university education.

Quality
The Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU Catalunya) has validated the master’s degree in Artistic Education in Social Codesign Applied to Public Sector Projects taught at ESDAPC. To carry out this evaluation, AQU Catalunya applies the Framework for the validation, monitoring, modification and accreditation of qualifications.

Access requirements:
Hold a bachelor’s degree. The qualifications that allow access to the master’s degree, in order of appropriateness to the study programme, are:
- A higher degree in Design or a bachelor’s degree in Design from a Spanish Higher School.
- A long degree or a bachelor’s degree in Design from a Spanish University.
- Long degrees or higher qualifications specific to Art and Design in Europe or other non-European countries.
- A long degree or a bachelor’s degree from a Spanish University (preferably in the area of Humanities and Social Sciences).
Requirement common to all qualifications: Certificate of level B2 in English, according to the CEFR.
Admission criteria:
In the event that the number of applicants exceeds the number of available places, they will be allocated according to the following criteria:
- Special appropriateness of the study programme of the entry qualification to the admission profile: 40%
- Academic merits. Record of studies that give access to the programme, other degrees and courses or related training: 30%
- Professional and/or research experience related to the scope of the master’s degree: 10%
- Knowledge of languages: 10%
- Curriculum vitae accompanied by a cover letter: 10%
→ Two places are reserved for ESDAPC Alumni. In the event of a tie, the cover letter to take the master’s degree submitted by the candidates will be taken into account.
→ ESDAPC reserves the right to conduct interviews with applicants when appropriate.
